Een grote groep dansers strijdt om de rollen, maar Zach besluit hen op een ongebruikelijke manier te testen: in plaats van hen alleen te laten dansen, vraagt hij hen om persoonlijke verhalen te delen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wat volgt is een reeks onthullende monologen, dialogen en nummers waarin de dansers hun achtergrond, dromen, onzekerheden en motivaties delen. Deze verhalen zijn vaak emotioneel, grappig of hartverscheurend. Het publiek krijgt een intieme blik op de mensen achter de perfecte choreografie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na alle verhalen moet Zach een moeilijke keuze maken: wie krijgt een plek in de chorus line? Hoewel de musical niet alle antwoorden geeft, richt het zich op de realiteit van afwijzing en succes in de theaterwereld. De spanning van de auditie wordt afgebouwd in de finale,&nbsp;<em>&#8220;One&#8221;<\/em>, waarin de cast in schitterende kostuums een spectaculaire choreografie uitvoert.
